More on these subjects and Ideas to Grow Your Profits and Enhance Your Image in the coming weeks as we expand and enhance this blog.
Since the dawn of the 20th century, knock-knock jokes have stood out as a popular brand of humor. By the mid-1930s, knock-knock contests were sprouting up in businesses, swing bands were incorporating these jests into their melodies, and knock-knock clubs were forming across the Midwest.
Although Bob Dunn, author of the 1936 book "Knock Knock!", is often hailed as the creator of the knock-knock joke, its earliest semblance dates back much further — to William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, first staged in 1606.
The wordplay inherent in executing a stellar knock-knock joke might occasionally elicit groans, yet the back-and-forth format of this humor is undeniably enjoyable in social gatherings.
I have so enjoyed the Specialty Advertising Business. The special events - Anniversaries, Grand Openings, Trade Shows, etc., sure work to keep life interesting and full.
I wrote a book about it and "everyday" promotions back in 2010. I wanted a workbook type that could be laid flat so the reader could make notes at will. To get what I wanted, I had to self-publish the book. I did the third edition just before Covid. I have decided to make the book FREE to anyone wanting to read it on the internet or a reader can print it out for long term reference. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed living it!
The next installment of the book will be introduced soon!
